The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Colombia. This epiphytic orchid is known only from the
department of Boyacá. Plants have been found near El Umbo, which is about
130 mi. (209 km) north of Bogotá, where they were growing in high, thick
forest at about 3300 ft. (1000 m).
