Flask Information |
Availability: |
We have sold all of the flasks for this item. |
You should: |
Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask. You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.
You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.
You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had. |
Yield Estimate: |
390 plants (based on flask surveys done 07/05/2006 through 10/18/2007)
|
Plantlet Sizes: |
From many flasks 15 - 100 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 10/13/2006 through 03/18/2008)
From one most recently surveyed flask 25 - 55 mm (03/18/2008)

ORIGIN/HABITAT: New Guinea. In Papua, plants were found near Port Praslin
and Punam on New Ireland (New Mecklenburg) Island at about 1650 ft. (500
m), on Rossel Island, in the Sepik River region near Aitape (Eitape) at
50-1300 ft. (20-400 m), and along the coast of northwestern Papua New
Guinea at about 50 ft. (20 m). In Irian Jaya (western New Guinea), the
plants grow in swamps along the Noord River. They usually grow on forest
trees or close to the ground on mangroves in lowland rainforests from sea
level to 2300 ft. (0-700 m), but they have been reported as high as 3950
ft. (1200 m).
