Flask Information |
Availability: |
We have sold all of the flasks for this item. |
You should: |
Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask. You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.
You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.
You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had. |
Yield Estimate: |
350 plants (based on flask surveys done 06/29/2004 through 04/26/2005)
|
Plantlet Sizes: |
From many flasks 0.2 - 60 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 05/03/2004 through 07/07/2005)
From one most recently surveyed flask 20 - 60 mm (07/07/2005)

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. This orchid has
been collected a various locations across mainland Thailand at 1150-3950
ft. (350-1200 m). Plants usually grow in deciduous forests where the dry
season is relatively long. They are widely distributed in the mountain
areas of northern, northeastern, western, and southwestern Thailand, but
they are also found at low elevations in the Prachuab area in southwestern
Thailand. In the city of Chiengmai, plants grow on teak trees lining the
streets. In Vietnam, plants have been collected in the mountains near
Dalat. The type specimen for Vanda pseudocoerulescens was collected near
Kampot in southern Cambodia.
