ORIGIN/HABITAT: Burma, Thailand, and China. This species was originally found in the southern Shan States of Burma, but it was later found in the mountains of northern Thailand and in Yunnan Province of southwestern China. Plants sometimes grow on trees in partial shade, but they are more often found on rocks. They frequently grow in full sun at 4000-5000 ft. (1220-1520 m).
