Culture Notes from Donor: Pod parent plant: Temperature range CI (58-75°F). The plant is grown on a small block of tree fern. It seems to like to dry quite a bit between waterings, as the roots grow much better and attach to the block.
Pollen parent plant: Temperature range CI (58-75°F).
Comments: Though seedlings may be established in small pots, plants will do much better if mounted on tree fern. A four inch long piece, one inch square works well. Mount the plants upside down, and they will turn arround to point up. Plants reach blooming size relatively quickly.
Pod parent plant: Small plant at 5 years old. The branched flower spike with 15 or more blooms is much larger than the plant. It blooms on each new growth.
Pollen parent plant: This is a first bloom seedling. I obtained this plant as a seedling last spring. I mounted it on tree fern, and it has established nicely. Flowers are about 1-1/8 inches wide and 1-3/8 inches high with a several inch long spur.
