ORIGIN/HABITAT: Colombia and Venezuela. Details of the habitat in Colombia were not reported, but plants are said to occur at 3300-5900 ft. (1000-1800 m). In Venezuela, plants have been found in damp forests in the Federal District and in the bordering states of Aragua and Miranda at elevations of 3950-4900 ft. (1200-1500 m)
