The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Burma, Thailand, and China. This species was originally
found in the southern Shan States of Burma, but it was later found in the
mountains of northern Thailand and in Yunnan Province of southwestern
China. Plants sometimes grow on trees in partial shade, but they are more
often found on rocks. They frequently grow in full sun at 4000-5000 ft.
(1220-1520 m).
