Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range W (70-90°F). Prefers a lot of water and fertilizer when it is growing. I grow it in a mix of 2/3 white styrofoam peanuts and 1/3 fir bark, charcoal, and perlite.
Comments: Parent plant: A large plant. It had a 3 foot inflorescence with 40 flowers each 2 inches across.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Widespread from the Philippines through Borneo, Sulawesi
(formerly Celebes), the Moluccas, New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands.
Plants grow on trees, often near the sea in coastal forests, but they are
also found in more inland, lowland forests. Plants are usually reported
from near sea level, but they occur at elevations to about 1650 ft. (500
m).
