Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range CI (58-75°F)
Comments: Plants are small to medium but in optimum conditions in nature they can grow big clumps. Seed pods were sent to me by a friend who collected them in a coffee plantation. The plant was not removed from where it is growing inside the farm and there is no intention of removing it in the near future. This is an attempt to get some seedlings to repopulate the farm with what was a common plant.
Parent plant: Small plant.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Florida in the USA, the West Indies, Mexico, Central
America, and southward into central South America. Plants usually grow
below 3300 ft. (1000 m), but in some habitats, they are found as high as
4250–4900 ft. (1300–1500 m). This orchid is usually attached to the twigs
and branches of trees or bushes, along streams in humid regions that have
relatively dry winters. Visitors to the habitat report that this species
quickly becomes a weed in moist forest regions, growing in hedges and
ornamental trees and shrubs.
