ORIGIN/HABITAT: Costa Rica, Panama, and Colombia. In Panama, plants grow
in the region near the border with Costa Rica. They grow on the slopes of
Chiriqui Volcano in mossy woods at 3800-5500 ft. (1150-1700 m).
