ORIGIN/HABITAT: Costa Rica and Mexico. Barkeria lindleyana ssp. lindleyana
grows in trees and shrubs at 2600-5250 ft. (800-1600 m). Barkeria
lindleyana ssp. vanneriana grows mostly on rocks in the Mexican States of
Michoacan, Guerrero, Oaxaca and Puebla at elevations of 3300-6550 ft.
(1000-2000 m).
