The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Indonesia. This species is relatively common throughout
most of Java and is also found on Sumatra. On Java, plants grow in high
light in mossy forests at 4900-8200 ft. (1500-2500 m), but they are more
plentiful above 6550 ft. (2000 m). On Sumatra, plants have been reported
at high as 9200 ft. (2800 m).
