Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Enjoys bright light, intermediate temperatures and dry winters. Mine is mounted.
Comments: Parent plant: Dendrobium carronii is a diminutive relative of Dendrobium canaliculatum from Australia (Queensland) and New Guinea (Papua New Guinea). It is a true miniature.

The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Australia and Papua New Guinea. In Australia, the plants
are found from near Coen on the Cape York Peninsula northward to the
Jardine River. Distribution then extends across the Torres Straits into
Papua New Guinea. Plants usually grow 7-13 ft. (2-4 m) above the ground on
Melaleuca trees in swamps or open forests, but they are always found in
areas with high humidity. They are found from sea level to 1650 ft. (0-500
m).
