ORIGIN/HABITAT: Northeast Thailand near Loei, Laos near Vientiane, Cambodia, and Vietnam near Dalat. The yellow-flowered var. houlletiana has been exported in quantity from Thailand. Todays orchid collections are much more apt to have this variety than the type form.
