The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Northeastern Australia. Plants grow in the southeastern
part of the Cape York Peninsula from the Johnstone River to the Annan
River. They are usually found in rainforests near mountain tops at
2600-4900 ft. (800-1500 m), where there are breaks in the forest and heavy
dew, fog, and low clouds are common. They normally grow in shade on forest
trees. Plants growing at higher elevations are usually lithophytic and
tend to be small and spindly.
