The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Northern Papua New Guinea. Plants are common in mountain
forests at 4900-8200 ft. (1500-2500 m). They usually grow on moss-covered
branches of large trees. In Irian Jaya (western New Guinea), plants were
collected in the Jabi Mountains along the south coast of Geelvink Bay near
Wape and in the Arfak Range near Angi Lake at about 6200 ft. (1900 m).
