ORIGIN/HABITAT: Extreme southern India. Plants are found in the Travancore
Highlands and the Kalikad Hills at 4900-5250 ft. (1500-1600 m).
Paphiopedilum druryi grows in hard, shallow, limy soil, fortified only
slightly with decaying plant debris and grasses. Plants may grow in full
sun or be lightly shaded by scrub brush or grass.
