Comments: Parent plant: Easy to grow intermediate to warm vandaceous species with small 1/4-inch flowers arranged along a pendulous flower spike. Flowers are fragrant and smell of lemon. Medium-sized plant.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Northwest Himalaya region in India, Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan,
northeast India, Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and
Malaya. In northwest India, plants have been found near Dehra Dun,
Garhwal, and the Gori Valley. In Sikkim, collections have been made near
Darjeeling. In northeast India plants have been found in the Naga region,
near Chota Nagpur and Cherrapunjee, in the Orissa region, the Aka Hills as
well as in other locations. Throughout this region, plants are found
mostly at elevations of 1950-3300 ft. (600-1000 m). In Thailand,
collections have been made throughout the country from the northern
mountain regions to Peninsular Thailand, with most collections being
reported in the mountain region along the border with Myanmar (Burma). In
Laos, plants have been found near Xieng Khouang, Vientiane, and Muang
Kassy. In Cambodia this orchid was collected near Angkor Wat and Kampong
Speu. In Vietnam, collections have been made near Thu Duc, Darlac, Dalat,
and Pot Gol. In Malaya plants were found on Langkawi Island, just off the
northwest coast, and in the northern state of Kedah. Flowers are in bloom
for about a month.
