Comments: Parent plant: This is a very dark purple colored Aerides. The plant is about 6-9 inches in leaf span. The inflorescence is upright to slightly arched. Medium-sized plant.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Sulawesi (formerly the Celebes). Plants originally
described as Aerides reversa J. J. Smith were discovered in the northern
part Sulawesi near Palele (Paleleh) at about 1N lat. and 122E long.
Habitat elevation was not reported, so the following climate table and
cultural suggestions are based on an estimated elevation and should be
used with caution.
