ORIGIN/HABITAT: Panama and Venezuela. In Panama, this orchid has been found at several location in the Canal Zone, usually at low elevations, with one collection reported at 250 ft. (70 m). Occurrences have also been reported in Coclé Province where the plants were growing in damp, shaded valleys south of El Valle de Antón at about 1950 ft. (600 m). In Venezuela, plants have been reported in the Federal District near Caracas, but additional details were not given.
