Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range I (60-83°F). Plants grow in a pine woodland near Brooksville, Florida.
Comments: Parent plant: Plants are 10-20 inches tall with multiple flowers. Flower spurs are 6-10 inches long.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Distribution extends through the southeastern United
States from extreme southeast Texas along the north coast of the Gulf of
Mexico in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. It included all of Florida
and then continues northward along the Atlantic coast through Georgia into
extreme southeastern South Carolina. Plants are found in sunshine along
road shoulders, in meadows, in open forests, and in dense woods. Little
else has been reported about the habitat.
