Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range CI (58-75°F)
Comments: Was next to other blooming Phrags when in bloom, but no pollen was on the stigma at flower drop, and no pollen was missing from adjacent Phrags.
Parent plant: Medium-sized plant. Windy Hill parentage. First flowering had petals 21 inches long. Grows slower than my other Phrags. Leaf length much smaller than other caudatum ssp.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: The Pacific watershed from Costa Rica to Colombia. In
Chiriquí, Panama, it found only at the tops of tall trees 60-100 ft.
(18-30 m) above the ground. Collectors from other areas indicate it is
also found on rocks in decayed vegetable matter.
