The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Peru. Plants were first discovered in northern Peru in the
Department of Amazonas near Molinopampa, a tiny village between
Chachapoyas and Mendoza. Plants grow epiphytically in cloudforest at about
7200 ft. (2200 m).
