ORIGIN/HABITAT: Sri Lanka and southern India. In Sri Lanka, this orchid is
rather common in the central mountains where it grows on trees in wet,
evergreen forests and subtropical mountain forests at up to 6000 ft. (1830
m). This species is also reported from southwest India where it grows in
the Western Ghats region at elevations up to 6550 ft. (2000 m).
