Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range I (60-83°F). Standard paphiopedilum culture.
Comments: Parent plant: Leaf span approximately 12 inches. Inflorescence stands to 18 inches with a solitary flower. Flowers have good color and form.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Sikkim, southern Bhutan, and Arunchal Pradesh in northeast
India. Paphiopedilum fairrieanum grows on sheltered grassy slopes covering
outcropings of crystalline limestone, on rocks in oak forests, in grass on
open gneiss ledges, and in dolomitic gravel on ledges above rivers and
streams. Plants prefer west-facing slopes at 4600-7200 ft. (1400-2200 m).
