Flask Information |
Availability: |
We have sold all of the flasks for this item. |
You should: |
Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask. You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.
You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.
You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had. |
Yield Estimate: |
170 plants (based on flask surveys done 05/03/2006 through 10/23/2008)
|
Plantlet Sizes: |
From many flasks 20 - 80 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 05/03/2006 through 06/22/2009)
From one most recently surveyed flask 30 - 70 mm (06/22/2009)

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Panama. This orchid was discovered in Chiriquí Province
near Vivero about 1.5-2.0 mi. (2-3 km) south of the Fortuna dam site in
the Valle de Hornito at about 8.7N by 82.3W. Habitat elevation was not
given, but topographical maps of the area indicate probable elevations of
1000-1950 ft. (300-600 m). The following climate table and cultural
suggestions are based on this estimated elevation and should be used
somewhat cautiously until such time as the actual elevation in known.
