ORIGIN/HABITAT: Ecuador. This epiphytic species is locally abundant in the
forests of the southeastern Province of Zamora-Chinchipe. Plants have been
found at 3950-4900 ft. (1200-1500 m) in the Cordillera del Condor east of
Los Encuentros, east of Mayaycu, and near Patchizutza.
