Comments: Pollen parent plant: Although small-flowered, this species quickly becomes a specimen plant. A 60 growth plant is easily accommodated in a 3" pot.

The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: The Philippine Islands. This orchid was first discovered
in 1913 near Sagnay on Mount Canayan on southeastern Luzon Island in
Camarines Province. Plants were growing on trees on wooded slopes at 1000
ft. (300 m). Collections have since been reported in northern Luzon near
Balbalan in Kalinga-Apayao Province and on Leyte Island near Jaro at
1650-2300 ft. (500-700 m).
