Culture Notes from Donor: Pod parent plant: Temperature range CI (58-75°F).
Pollen parent plant: Temperature range CI (58-75°F). The plant is grown on a small block of tree fern. It seems to like to dry quite a bit between waterings, as the roots grow much better and attach to the block.
Comments: Although seedlings may be established in pots, they should be mounted on tree fern for best results. A four inch long piece of one inch square tree fern works well.
Pod parent plant: This is a first bloom seedling. I obtained this plant as a seedling last spring. I mounted it on tree fern, and it has established nicely. Flowers are about 1-1/8 inches wide and 1-3/8 inches high with a several inch long spur.
Pollen parent plant: Small plant at 5 years old. The branched flower spike with 15 or more blooms is much larger than the plant. It blooms on each new growth.
