Culture Notes from Donor: Epiphyte preferring shade or well filtered light, conditions similar to those for Phalaenopsis.
Parent plant: Temperature range W (70-90°F)
Comments: Native to the Micronesian island of Palau. Ephemeral flowers open white with orange tips, then change to fuchsia by the end of the day. Small pseudobulbs with a single, narrow, evergreen leaf form a dense mass. Inflorescences are a long stem with a small leaflike bract at the end which will flower several times, 1 to 3 flowers at once. Blooms about every 2-3 weeks during the wet season.
Parent plant: Medium-sized plant.

Flask Information |
Availability: |
We have sold all of the flasks for this item. |
You should: |
Consider getting individual plants or compots instead of a flask. You can place a "Notify Flask Recipients" Request, and either we or a flask recipient may contact you when plants are available.
You may also place a "Notify Retries" Request, and if an identical pollination (the same parents) is done again, we'll let you know.
You may reserve a flask, but it's very unlikely you'll get one ...this could only happen if we found a flask that we didn't know we had. |
Yield Estimate: |
270 plants (based on flask surveys done 09/10/2003 )
|
Plantlet Sizes: |
From many flasks 15 - 50 mm plants (based on flask surveys done 09/10/2004 through 11/16/2004)
From one most recently surveyed flask 25 - 50 mm (11/16/2004)
