ORIGIN/HABITAT: Ecuador. Plants were discovered in a moist cloudforest on
the eastern slopes of the Andes. They grow somewhere east of Cuenca at
6550-7850 ft. (2000-2400 m), but specific location and details of the
habitat were not reported.
