The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Ecuador. These epiphytic plants are found in the
southeastern Province of Zamora-Chinchipe. The original description
reported them as growing in cloudforest between Loja and Zamora 5250 ft.
(1600 m), but later writings report they may be found as low as 3950 ft.
(1200 m).
