ORIGIN/HABITAT: Rhynchostele rossii is widely distributed in Nicaragua,
Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico. In Mexico it is found in the states of
Veracruz, Puebla, Mexico, Oaxaca, and Chiapas. It usually grows on trees
in mixed cloud forests at 6560-7870 ft. (2000-2400 m), but some plants
have been found as high as 9840 ft. (3000 m).
