The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia. This epiphytic orchid is
widespread in northern and central Kenya where plants are found in forests
and scrub in regions that are seasonally dry. Plants are usually found in
patches of forest along rivers and dry gullies, usually in rather shaded
conditions, growing vertically among small trunks and branches. Plants are
also found in similar habitat in neighboring countries, growing at
4250-7700 ft. (1300-2350 m).
