The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.
This text is copyrighted by the Bakers and may not be reproduced without permission.
ORIGIN/HABITAT: Peru and Ecuador. In Peru, this epiphytic species occurs
locally in cloudforests in the Department of Amazonas between Pomacochas
and Moyobamba. These plants grow at about 6900 ft. (2100 m). A second
population, which is found in southeastern Ecuador in Zamora-Chinchipe
Province, grows in cloudforest south of Zamora at 4750 ft. (1450 m).
