ORIGIN/HABITAT: Sikkim, Bhutan, northeastern India, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, and southern China to as far east as Hong Kong. Plants are usually found near streams in relatively low-elevation, humid forests at 1650-2600 ft. (500-800 m) in areas with hot, wet summers and cooler, dry winters.
