ORIGIN/HABITAT: Ecuador. This epiphytic species is uncommon and found very locally in the southeastern Provinces of Morona-Santiago and Zamora-Chinchipe. The plants grow in cloudforests at 5100-7200 ft. (1550-2200 m) and have been collected east of Cuenca, east of Paute, between Macas and Guamote and along the Río Jambue.
