Culture Notes from Donor: Parent plant: Temperature range I (60-83°F)
Comments: C.A. Luer wrote in Thesaurus Masdevalliarum, fascicle 6: "This species is apparently rare and local, having been found on only one occasion in southeastern Ecuador at a moderately low altitude (1000-1500 meters above sea level) near the remote Salesian Mission at Bomboiza by two padres."

The following information is based on the name of the plant provided by the donor, and assumes that the name is correct. If the plant has been misidentified, then the following information may not be correct.

ORIGIN/HABITAT: Ecuador. Apparently rare, plants have been found only once
in a remote area near Bamboiza in Morona-Santiago Province, where they
grew on cloudforest trees at about 3300 ft. (1000 m).
