ORIGIN/HABITAT: Africa. The epiphytic or lithophytic orchid is found in Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. It is reportedly widespread in central Kenya. Plants appear to occupy two very different habitats and may be found in montane forest or open woodland at 3500-8550 ft. (1060-2600 m).
