The flowers are dark rosy-lavender; the lip midlobe is white and has a distinctive hairy callus. The terrestrial growth habit and flowers look superficially like Sobralia. The capsule plant was growing amidst wiry bushes in full sun and predominantly quartz sand; the leafy stems were about 1.5-2.0 meters high. |
